Melody Maker Exhibition - 2021
A University Project where we were tasked with designing an exhibition in The Shell space at BCU with the archive department acting as clients. Our brief was the magazine Melody Maker where we were able to research our chosen subject.
My subject was a celebration of LGBTQ+ musicians throughout Melody Maker and history. The exhibition features screens playing music videos from queer musicians and a seated area near this where visitors can also see images across the exhibition of said artists.
The exhibition features a wall with QR codes and albums where visitors can scan and listen to the music, quotes along the floor from LGBTQ+ musicians and an interactive panel where visitors can learn about queer terminology.
